When you are not feeling well because of an upset stomach, do not immediately drink medicine to cure it, instead eat the right food for it. If food could be a remedy, then you don’t need to drink medicine that may cause side effects. Food is still the best and healthy aid especially for stomach ache. However, you must be careful to choose the food you will eat. Have an intensive research about it beforehand.

Here are some of the foods that can soothes an upset stomach:

Saltine Crackers. This type of cracker can help lessen or neutralize, through absorption, the acid and toxins that caused your stomach to be upset.

Rice. Starchy foods like rice are a great help to cover the lining of the stomach which may ease digestion and soothe the pain. If you’re outside the house; office, school, or elsewhere, you may biscuits, bread, and others alike.

Banana. It contains high potassium that helps lessen stomach cramps and morning sickness. You may also need it if you have been dehydrated after a diarrhea or vomiting. Like starchy foods, this fruit also help reduce acid-reflux.

Whatever sickness you may have, if there are foods that can help you with it, use them for your own good. Think twice over medicine that can even add up negative effects in your body. Don’t depend merely on medicine if you can depend on healthy foods that can replace most of it.
